About this opportunity
The IRCPL Undergraduate Summer Fellowships supports summer research or internship opportunities for Columbia University undergraduate students with a strong interest in the study of religion and/or secularism. Applicants are encouraged to reach out to faculty members regarding research assistant opportunities. Successful candidates will receive a maximum of $1,500 and are expected to participate in the intellectual life of the Institute by attending public programs during the academic year. Fellows are also expected to submit a brief report of their experience upon completion of their summer research. The program provides funding to support various summer activities including research projects, internships, and related expenses such as lodging, travel, and access to archives. IRCPL hosts a research fellow roundtable discussion prior to dispersing research funds, and all award recipients are required to attend to discuss their work and future research plans. Research Fellows are expected to present and participate in a research fellows colloquium the following academic year, providing opportunities to present their work and participate in professional development activities.
