Iron Fund

The Iron Fund has been established to provide grants to alleviate the needs of people in Herefordshire. It favours projects that encourage community cohesion, alleviates issues of isolation, and alleviate disadvantage. Applications are considered on an ongoing, rolling basis, meaning applicants can apply at any time during the year. The average grant award in 2024-25 was £1,690. The Iron Fund is currently unable to fund capital projects that involve improvements or refurbishments to buildings, including village hall improvements. Organizations interested in applying to this Fund are encouraged to contact Herefordshire Community Foundation to discuss their project before submitting an application.
