Irvin L. Sparks Memorial Scholarship

The Irvin L. Sparks Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Physics at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to attend EIU, as well as current EIU freshmen or sophomores. Recipients must demonstrate high scholastic talent and may be required to provide recommendations from their high school physics and mathematics teachers. Applicants must also submit a written statement concerning the scholarship explaining how it will benefit them. The scholarship is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the Fall semester.
