About this opportunity
One scholarship, valued at up to $2,000, is awarded annually to an outstanding student from Asia entering first year of a program in the Faculty of Mathematics (excluding Computer Science) at the University of Waterloo. This fund is made possible by a donation from Ivor Chow who graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BMath '92 (Math/Accounting). Chow is the director of corporate finance, treasury and risk management at Hutchison Port Holdings. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and is awarded based on academic performance, the Admission Information Form (AIF), and contest results as administered through CEMC. The scholarship supports international students from Asia pursuing undergraduate studies in mathematics-related programs including Business Administration and Mathematics Double Degree, Honours Mathematics, Mathematics/Financial Analysis and Risk Management, Mathematics/Business Administration, and Mathematics/Chartered Professional Accountancy.
