About this opportunity
The Izard Scholarship was established in 1997 from a bequest from the estate of Arnold Woodford Izard. It is offered to students enrolled in a Master's by thesis degree in any faculty at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, with the exception of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (NZSM students are still eligible to apply). The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit only and provides approximately $2,000 in funding support. One scholarship is awarded per year with a tenure of one year. Recipients must be fully enrolled in a full-time Master's by thesis programme. The scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year and may not be held by current recipients or students who have previously held a Victoria University of Wellington Postgraduate Scholarship, but may be held with another bursary or scholarship worth less than $5,500. Recipients are expected to act as ambassadors for the university and participate in appropriate events or marketing if requested.
