About this opportunity
The J P Skipworth Scholarship Ecology supports postgraduate students undertaking research in the field of ecology at Massey University. This scholarship has been established in recognition of the valuable contribution made by Associate Professor John P Skipworth to the Department of Botany and Zoology from 1960 to 1991. The funds for the scholarship have been provided from royalties received by Dr Nelson Pomeroy through his research on bumble bees and pollination. The scholarship provides up to $6,000 for one year's duration to support research in the Wildlife and Ecology Group at Massey University. Recipients are selected based on academic merit and financial need. Applicants must be enrolled on the Palmerston North (Manawatū) campus and undertaking a research topic with a focus on ecology.
