J P Skipworth Scholarship - Plant Biology

The J P Skipworth Scholarship was established in recognition of the valuable contribution made by Associate Professor John P. Skipworth to the Department of Botany and Zoology from 1960 to 1991. The funds for the scholarship have been provided from royalties received by Dr Nelson Pomeroy through his research on bumble bees and pollination. This scholarship supports postgraduate students undertaking research in the field of plant biology at Massey University. The scholarship provides financial assistance up to $2,000 for one year to support research at the postgraduate or master's level. Recipients are selected based on academic merit and demonstrated financial need.
