About this opportunity
The J. S. Yeates Memorial Scholarship is supported by a fund donated by the Kimbolton Rhododendron Society as a memorial to Dr J. S. Yeates, who was the first President of the New Zealand Rhododendron Association and was instrumental in the purchase of the property that ultimately became Kimbolton Rhododendron Heritage Park. This undergraduate scholarship is designed for students who normally reside in the Manawatū region, preferably northern Manawatū, and are pursuing a bachelor's degree with a focus on horticulture. The scholarship provides approximately $5,000 for one year's duration to support full-time study. Recipients must have already completed 120 credits of their horticultural degree and demonstrate high academic achievement. Selection is based on academic achievements and a statement demonstrating how the scholarship would benefit the student's study and how they meet the intentions of this award.
