About this opportunity
Jack and Eleanor Bendat donated funds to The University of Western Australia to assist and encourage meritorious Indigenous students from regional Western Australia to continue and complete their first undergraduate degree course. The scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who have completed the first 48 points towards their first undergraduate degree course, are from a rural or regional area of Western Australia, and are experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship provides $15,000 total over 3 years, with 2 scholarships offered. Selection is based on academic achievement (ATAR or equivalent) and demonstrated financial hardship through receipt of Commonwealth income support payments or a statement of financial hardship. The scholarship may be held concurrently with any other scholarship or award, except other industry-funded scholarships.
