About this opportunity
The Jack Bartroff Scholarship honors the legacy of Jack Bartroff, a 1959 Cashmere High School graduate who became a successful orthodontist after attending the University of Washington and serving in the Navy. Jack believed strongly in higher education and the opportunities it provided him from his small town upbringing. This scholarship is offered by his family to provide similar opportunities to graduating seniors from Cashmere High School.
Jack Bartroff was Student Body president and a valuable member of the Bulldog Basketball team. He graduated from UW, attended dental school, served as a Navy dentist in Japan, and later completed an orthodontist program at UCLA. His career included three separate practices where he helped patients improve their appearance and gain confidence. Like his sister Barbara Tilly, Jack believed in higher education and wanted to give back to his hometown.
This scholarship supports graduating seniors from Cashmere High School who have attended the school for at least two years and maintained a GPA of 3.0 or above. The scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington and aims to help students from Cashmere pursue higher education opportunities.
