About this opportunity
The Jackman Academic Excellence Scholarship supports outstanding undergraduate students at Eastern Illinois University who are pursuing teacher licensure programs within the College of Education and Professional Studies. This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum 3.0 GPA, active participation in student professional organizations, and commitment to service in professional organizations. The scholarship gives preference to students whose parents are EIU alumni, particularly from programs within the College of Education and Professional Studies. Recipients must be full-time students accepted to and enrolled at Eastern Illinois University and admitted into teacher education. The award is announced in the spring and paid in the fall semester. Past recipients are not eligible to receive the award again, making this a non-renewable opportunity for deserving education students.
