Jacques Avent Scholarship

The Jacques Avent Scholarship Fund was established by the NFBPA-CAC in honor of Jacques Avent, one of the NFBPA's original founders. This scholarship supports future Black public administrators and recognizes Jacques Avent's trailblazing efforts in promoting and increasing the number of African Americans in executive and middle management positions throughout the city. The scholarship is awarded to students pursuing graduate or undergraduate studies in public administration/policy, political science, urban planning, or public affairs at Arizona colleges and universities. Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate merit in their field of study.
