James A. Meier Scholarship

The James A. Meier Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen with a declared major in specific STEM departments at North Dakota State University. This scholarship specifically targets students from small high schools (graduating classes of 100 or fewer students) who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher. Eligible majors include Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Coatings and Polymeric Materials, Earth, Environmental and Geospatial Sciences, Physics, Psychology, Statistics, or Mathematics. The scholarship provides $3,500 annually and may be renewed for up to three additional years, making it a four-year scholarship opportunity, provided recipients maintain satisfactory academic progress toward their degree in one of the eligible majors. This award represents a commitment to supporting high-achieving students from rural areas pursuing STEM education.
