James and Elise Devitt Entrance Scholarship

One or two scholarships, valued at up to $2,000 each, are awarded annually to outstanding students entering first year in any faculty or program at the University of Waterloo. This entrance scholarship is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents entering their first year of undergraduate studies. The fund was made possible by a donation from Elise Devitt, a retired Waterloo staff member, in memory of her husband, T. James Devitt. Students do not need to apply for this scholarship as recipients are automatically selected based on their academic merit and admission to the university.
