About this opportunity
The James and Moya Kilgannon Scholarship supports undergraduate students in the University of Sydney School of Education and Social Work who plan to teach mathematics or science. Established in 2018 from a generous donation from Mrs Denise Playoust, this scholarship aims to encourage students pursuing teaching careers in the critical subject areas of Mathematics or Science. The scholarship provides financial support to full-time or part-time students enrolled in undergraduate degrees within the Sydney School of Education and Social Work. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance with a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. The award is made on the basis of academic merit and feedback from two academic referees, as determined by the Head of School.
