About this opportunity

The James and Ruth Lawrence Scholarship honors James Lawrence, who graduated from Columbus Public Schools' East High School and The Ohio State University, served as a World War II veteran, and retired from the Defense Supply Center of Columbus, and his wife Ruth, who was an active volunteer with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra's East Unit Women's Auxiliary. This scholarship supports graduating high school seniors or graduates of Columbus City Schools who are pursuing higher education. The scholarship provides $1,700 to students attending or planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university in the United States, either full-time or part-time. Students apply through the Universal Application system managed by The Columbus Foundation.
