James Anthony Tierney Scholarship Fund

The James Anthony Tierney Scholarship Fund was established at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Sto-Rox High School who play football. This single-year award supports students pursuing post-secondary education at accredited vocational or technical trade schools, or 2- or 4-year colleges or universities. Preference is given to applicants from the high school football team and those who can demonstrate financial need. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. The application process is managed through Scholarship America and opens annually in January.
