James "Herk" Soteriades Scholarship Fund of the Whitehall Education Foundation

The scholarship is in memory of James A. "Herk" Soteriades, who served the Whitehall Fire Department and the City of Whitehall for 50 years. This scholarship supports graduating seniors from Whitehall-Yearling High School who are pursuing degrees in safety services (police or fire) or theatre (drama, vocal, or instrumental). Two scholarships of $1,500 each are awarded annually to candidates who will attend accredited educational institutions in the United States.
