James M. Schooler, Sr Scholarship

The James M. Schooler, Sr Scholarship was created by the Beta Theta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity as a scholarship endowment that would encourage young African American men to excel academically and pursue a four-year college degree. This scholarship is available to African American males living in Durham County or Orange County, North Carolina. The scholarship provides $1,000 to support students pursuing education at a four-year public or private college or university. The scholarship is administered through the Triangle Community Foundation and is designed to promote educational achievement among young African American men in the local community.
