About This Opportunity

The James and Martha Trounson Benevolent Fund Trust Board provides financial assistance to members of the Methodist Church of New Zealand who are experiencing special financial need. The fund offers support through gifts, grants, or in approved circumstances, loans with or without security. Priority is given to widows or immediate family of deceased Methodist Ministers who died in active ministry or as Retired Presbyters, Retired Presbyters facing sickness or misfortune, and lay persons belonging to Methodist churches or Union Parishes who are in special need and do not qualify for other assistance. The fund was established to express Christian love and concern by meeting legitimate needs with minimal embarrassment. Applications are considered on a rolling basis as they are received, with a maximum grant of $650 NZD in any 12-month period.
