About this opportunity
Peterhouse invites applications for a postgraduate doctoral studentship in Christian Theology or in a subject with a strong theological component. The studentship provides full funding for fees and maintenance for three years of full-time doctoral study. Applicants must either have been selected for ordination in the Church of England or be in the process of discerning a vocation to ordained ministry, with a view to serving within the Church of England. Applicants may not currently be in holy orders.
The successful applicant will be expected to assist the Dean and Assistant Chaplain in supporting the life and ministry of the College Chapel. This will involve leading services and preaching, at the invitation of the Dean, as well as participating in the administration, and the social and religious activities of the Chapel, in collaboration with our committed team of student Sacristans and Chapel Officers. The successful applicant will have a demonstrably excellent record of academic performance at undergraduate and, where appropriate, postgraduate level, and be keen to become actively involved in the life of both Peterhouse Chapel and the wider College.
