About this opportunity
This scholarship provides financial assistance to a student studying Australian literature in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. Established in 2013 from a donation from Dymocks Pty Ltd in memory of James Strong, the scholarship supports undergraduate students pursuing studies in Australian Literature or Indigenous Studies. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences with a major in English or Indigenous Studies, and intend to enrol in at least one Australian Literature or Indigenous Studies unit each year. The scholarship is awarded based on Higher School Certificate results in English and a personal statement demonstrating commitment to Australian Literature studies. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must achieve a minimum Semester Average Mark of 75 each semester and continue enrollment in relevant coursework.
