About This Opportunity

The James Strong – Rip Curl Undergraduate Scholarship provides financial support to enable students to focus on their studies in an undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. Established in 2015, this scholarship has been generously donated by the Rip Curl Group in memory and legacy of renowned businessman James Strong. The scholarship is valued at $7,500 per annum and is tenable for one year, paid in two instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients must be recent school leavers who are Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, or New Zealand Citizens commencing full-time undergraduate study in the Faculty of Science. Applicants must have achieved an ATAR or equivalent of at least 90.00 in the NSW HSC or equivalent. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and responses to relevant questions in the application form.
