About this opportunity
The James T. and Lucille C. Shidecker Fund was established in memory of Mr. Shidecker's mother, Sarah Belle Fridelle Shidecker, and Mrs. Shidecker's mother, Lewella Fletcher Church. A self-employed engineer, Mr. Shidecker was a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1923. The fund equally supports scholarships for graduates of the Danville Public School System in Knox County and Big Walnut Public School System in Delaware County. This scholarship provides financial support to graduating students from these two specific Ohio high schools who plan to attend educational institutions in the United States. The scholarship honors the legacy of the Shidecker family and their commitment to supporting education in their local communities.
