Jana Hennessy (Herskovic) Memorial Scholarship in Linguistics

The Jana Hennessy (Herskovic) Memorial Scholarship in Linguistics is awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering the fourth year of studies in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta. The scholarship is specifically for students majoring or taking an honors degree in Linguistics. Recipients are selected based on both academic standing and financial need. In the event that no eligible candidates can be found entering the fourth year, this scholarship may be given to a third year student with the possibility of it being renewed for the fourth year. This endowed scholarship was established by Mrs. Karla Herskovic in loving memory of her daughter, Jana Hennessy (Herskovic).
