Jane Tschappat Nursing Advancement Scholarship

The Jane Tschappat Nursing Advancement Scholarship honors Jane Tschappat's nursing career that began at Grant Hospital in 1941 and included service in the U.S. Army Nurses Corps during WWII, as well as roles in clinical instruction and public health. Jane valued the G.I. Bill for providing her the opportunity to continue her education. This scholarship supports practicing nurses as they continue their education and navigate the difficult and changing healthcare system. The scholarship is specifically designed for nurses pursuing certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) in Ohio. Candidates must be enrolled in Ohio Board of Regents-approved institutions or accredited programs in Ohio, in either their first or second year of study, hold a valid unencumbered RN nursing license in Ohio, and demonstrate documented financial need.
