Janet Gray Undergraduate Wardlaw Scholarship

University of St Andrews Original Source

About This Opportunity

This scholarship was established by a generous donation from Janet A Gray 1940, in order to support students from Scotland and the rest of the UK in their studies at St Andrews. The scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews. The award provides £4,400 per year paid as maintenance but can be used towards University accommodation fees. Maintenance is paid in ten monthly instalments directly to the student's bank account from September to May, with a double payment in February. Selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria, and recipients are required to submit reports throughout the period of scholarship support and are encouraged to attend Development-related scholarship events.
