The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) has established the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan – Short-term program. A limited number of promising early career researchers are given the opportunity, through this fellowship, to conduct research at Japanese universities and in designated research institutions and laboratories. NSERC is the Canadian nominating authority for the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan – Short-term program. NSERC supports excellent, innovative and impactful research that advances knowledge and understanding and responds to local, national and global challenges. The fellowship provides opportunities for Canadian researchers to collaborate with Japanese institutions and advance their postdoctoral research experience.
