About this opportunity
The Jared Sekich Scholarship is a one-time award of $2,000 created in loving memory of Jared Nicholas Sekich, a student at Roosevelt High School who was an active member of the Roosevelt Future Farmers of America (FFA), served as an FFA sentinel, and was a member of the basketball team. This scholarship supports students from Roosevelt High School or Mead High School who wish to pursue a career in the agricultural field. The scholarship is funded by the Sekich Family, Friends, and Community Members and administered by the Longmont Community Foundation. The award is restricted to tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses related to study in an agricultural field by attending a trade or vocational school or a 2-year or 4-year college/university for the upcoming academic year. The award amount will be split between semesters. One scholarship is awarded annually to a student planning to attend a vocational/trade school, a 2-year college, or a 4-year college/university starting in the fall.
