About This Opportunity

The Jason Lang Scholarships are offered annually by the Government of Alberta to continuing undergraduate students in any faculty who have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.50 on all courses (minimum 24.00 units) completed over the previous fall and winter terms at an eligible Alberta post-secondary institution. Recipients must be continuing full-time at an eligible Alberta post-secondary institution in the fall and/or winter term. This government-funded scholarship program recognizes academic merit and provides financial support to high-achieving undergraduate students who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents with Alberta residency. The scholarship cannot be received concurrently with a Louise McKinney Scholarship in the same award year. Alberta Student Aid sends cheques directly to the home address of eligible recipients in December for students who applied by September 30, and in March for students who applied between October 1 and the final deadline of January 15. The award is valued at $1,000 per recipient, with a variable number of awards available each year.

Decision Cheques sent in December for September 30 applicants, March for October-January applicants
