Jay Busby Memorial Award

The Jay Busby Memorial Award is a scholarship offered by Saskatchewan Polytechnic for students enrolled in the Construction Electrician Apprenticeship program. The award recognizes both academic achievement and financial need, with equal weighting given to each criterion. Students must be enrolled in Level 1 of the Construction Electrician Apprenticeship program at any Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus to be eligible. Academic achievement is assessed based on marks from Level 1, accounting for 50% of the evaluation, while demonstrated financial need comprises the remaining 50%. Recipients are automatically considered through the General Application system, simplifying the application process for students. This award supports students pursuing skilled trades education in the construction and electrical sectors.
