J.D. Riggs Memorial Scholarship

The Riggs family established this scholarship in 2012 to honor the memory and life of their son, J.D. Riggs. J.D. was a 2009 graduate of WHS and a gifted singer and actor. The scholarship supports graduating seniors from Wenatchee and Eastmont High Schools who are pursuing further education in the field of performing arts – specifically acting or singing. The ideal applicant is an outstanding singer and actor, an inspiring leader, and has a strong will to succeed. A key attribute is that an applicant has overcome adversity. This scholarship is designed to support talented students who demonstrate drive, leadership qualities, and the ability to overcome challenges while pursuing their passion in performing arts.
