About This Opportunity

The Jean Auld Memorial Prize in Fine Arts is awarded to the student with the highest standing in FAH 101-102 (Fine Arts and Humanities). This award was established in memory of Miss Jean Auld, who was born in Charlottetown in 1885 and died in Vancouver in 1979. She attended the Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn and completed her M.A. at McGill University in 1922. She taught Classics and Art History at Reed College in Oregon and at the University of British Columbia. Throughout her life, she maintained strong ties with Prince Edward Island and provided funding for this student award recognizing excellence in fine arts education.
