About this opportunity
The Jean (MacLeod) Paquette Scholarship in Business is awarded to a full-time student enrolled in the Faculty of Business who is a recognized participant and leader in community service and/or sport. The scholarship was established by Jean's family as a tribute to Jean who attended Prince of Wales College in the 1930s. Born in Hartsville, PEI, Jean lived all of her life in Prince Edward Island and was a working mother for most of those years. She was employed for many years with Holman's Department Store in Summerside and later with Hyndman Insurance also in Summerside. She died on July 6, 2001 at the age of 86. This award recognizes students who demonstrate both academic commitment in business studies and active leadership in their communities or athletic endeavors.
