Jean McBean QC Award in Law

The Jean McBean QC Award in Law is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering any year of a Degree of Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership in social justice initiatives, women's issues, or community contributions. Preference is given to a student who has completed a course in Family Law. The award is endowed by family, friends, and colleagues of Jean McBean, QC, who was a leader in Family Law and a social justice advocate. This scholarship supports law students who exemplify commitment to advancing social justice and equity in their communities.
