Jeanette Funke-Furber and Robert Furber Scholarship

A scholarship is awarded to an academically outstanding graduate student in the Faculty of Health undertaking research in gerontology in order to enhance and advance care for the elderly. Preference is for a student with demonstrated financial need. The scholarship will rotate every other year between a PhD student in the School of Nursing and a Masters or PhD student in the Faculty of Health. Approval of the recipient will be made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon the recommendation of the Faculty of Health. Normally, the minimum requirement for consideration is an A- average and any additional criteria that has been established by the donor. Awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units and recipients must be full-time graduate students.
