Jeffrey K. Kunkel Scholarship

The Jeffrey K. Kunkel Scholarship is awarded to select undergraduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship specifically supports first-generation college students (where neither parent earned a bachelor's degree) who demonstrate financial need and are graduates of high schools located in the City of Milwaukee, with preference given to graduates of Milwaukee Public Schools. The scholarship recognizes the challenges faced by first-generation students and provides financial assistance to help them pursue their undergraduate education. Named for Rev. Jeffrey K. Kunkel, this scholarship is part of UWM's commitment to supporting diverse student populations and ensuring educational access for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
