About this opportunity
The Jennifer Wanless and Elizabeth Bradford Scholarship is an annual award offered by the ANU College of Science to support high achieving women continuing their undergraduate studies in STEM fields. The scholarship provides financial support to students working towards a major in physics, earth sciences, astronomy, chemistry, or mathematics.
Funding for this Award has been provided by the children of Jennifer Wanless including Professor Erica Wanless, Mr David Wanless and Professor Ian Wanless. Jennifer Wanless and Elizabeth Bradford became life-long friends having met during their studies at ANU, where Jennifer completed a BA and Elizabeth became the first woman to complete a PhD in Physics at ANU in 1962.
The scholarship is valued at $5,000 per annum and can be paid for up to 3 years, supporting students through the remaining duration of their undergraduate program. The Award is paid in equal installments after census date each semester. Eligible students must identify as women, be enrolled in an undergraduate program at the ANU College of Science, have completed between 48 and 72 units with a minimum GPA of 5.0, and be progressing towards a major in one of the five eligible STEM disciplines.
