Jennifer Woods Memorial Scholarship

The Jennifer Woods Memorial Scholarship supports female students at Eastern Illinois University who are either majoring in the Department of Public Health with the Community Health option, or minoring in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate strong academic performance, good personal character, and a commitment to public service. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in all university coursework. The scholarship prioritizes academic achievement, character, and public service commitment, with financial need only considered when all other criteria are equal among candidates. This award is announced and disbursed during the Spring semester. Applicants are required to submit supplemental responses describing their personal character, commitment to public service, departmental or community involvement at EIU, and their career plans after graduation. The scholarship honors the memory of Jennifer Woods and aims to support women pursuing careers in public health and community service fields.
