Jerry Van Winkle Memorial Scholarship

The Jerry Van Winkle Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Jerry Van Winkle, a lifelong learner who pursued his Master's Degree at age 55 to become a counselor. His greatest joy was helping students see the possibilities that education could provide. This scholarship carries out his wish to assist students in pursuing their education. Each year, this scholarship honors a student that demonstrates financial need, strong moral character, and personal growth throughout high school. The scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Waterville High School or graduating seniors from either Chelan High School or Eastmont High School who attended Orondo Elementary School. Recipients must plan to attend a 2 or 4-year university or a vocational, technical, or trade school in the USA as a full-time student and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
