Jim and Peggy Curtis Scholarship

The Jim and Peggy Curtis Scholarship was created to support students graduating from Moffat Consolidated School or Mountain Valley High School. Scholarships of varying amounts are awarded to students planning to enroll in a trade school, technical school, community college, or four-year accredited college in the United States. This scholarship is designed for high school seniors from Moffat and Mountain Valley High Schools, with preference given to students considering trade/vocational training or community college coursework. Students who graduated from either high school in spring 2024 or spring 2025 are also eligible to apply. The scholarship is a one-time award with amounts starting at $1,000 or more. Award amounts may be used toward the recipient's tuition and fees, and all scholarships will be paid directly to the recipient's post-secondary institution. Applicants must demonstrate affinity for Saguache County, and applications are reviewed based on academic performance, motivation towards completing goals, references, and commitment to or affinity for Saguache County.
