About this opportunity
The Jim Roberts Scholarship was established in 2008 to memorialize the contributions of Jim Roberts, a long-time NAEP member and President (1996-1998), to the environmental profession. The scholarship supports promising students enrolled in environmental programs at accredited universities and colleges in the United States and its territories. Jim Roberts was dedicated to environmental ethics and actively participated in NAEP leadership, serving on various committees and promoting ethical environmental practices. The scholarship reflects his commitment to encouraging the next generation of environmental professionals to work ethically on environmental problems. Applicants must be Junior, Senior, or Graduate Students enrolled in an environmental program. The scholarship winner receives a $2,000 check payable to their college or university to help with educational expenses, plus a pre-paid year-long NAEP Student Membership. Winners are announced at the annual NAEP conference, typically in March.
