Jim, Tom, and Robin Roberts Scholarship

The Jim, Tom, and Robin Roberts Scholarship supports full-time students at Eastern Illinois University who are interested in pursuing a news photography career and are actively participating in The Daily Eastern News or The Warbler student publications. This renewable scholarship is specifically designed for sophomores or juniors who demonstrate outstanding ability in both creative assignment photography and enterprise news or feature photography. Recipients must be in good academic standing and maintain full-time enrollment, progressing from junior to senior status or from sophomore to junior status. The scholarship emphasizes both technical skill and creative excellence in photojournalism, recognizing students who show exceptional promise in the field of news photography. The award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed the following Fall semester, and recipients may reapply for the scholarship in subsequent years if they continue to meet all eligibility criteria.
