Joan Allsop Postgraduate Research Support Scholarship

The Joan Allsop Postgraduate Research Support Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a postgraduate student who is researching in Australian History and requires funds to support any aspect of their research. This scholarship supports students currently enrolled in a master's by research or PhD in History at the School of Humanities, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides up to $10,000 to support specific research projects, including travel, publishing, digitisation, and oral history recording expenses. Applicants must be undertaking research in Australian history and must be applying for funding for expenses that can be planned but prior to spending. The successful applicant will be selected based on academic merit, area of study and/or research proposal, budget, and a personal statement explaining their need for the expenditure.
