Joan Goerge Smith Scholarship

The Joan Goerge Smith Scholarship Fund was established in 2012 by Kay Sparks, daughter of Joan Goerge Smith in her memory. This scholarship supports graduating seniors from Pewamo-Westphalia Community Schools seeking further education in an accredited educational program in the US. The scholarship is intended for promising students who demonstrate financial need, have potential scholastic ability, and display strong moral character and integrity. The scholarship is not necessarily awarded based solely on grades, but rather on the overall potential of the student. This is a one-time award that may not be renewed, designed to support students from Pewamo-Westphalia Community Schools in Pewamo, Michigan as they pursue their higher education goals.
