About this opportunity
This scholarship was established in 2016 as a tangible memorial to Jodie Reid, a 1996 ACU Nursing Graduate and Centaur Medalist, who died in 2004, aged 27, after suffering from Diabetes mellitus for 25 years. The scholarship provides financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in nursing, midwifery, or paramedicine programs at Australian Catholic University who participate or intend to participate in professional or personal activities in rural or remote-based communities. The scholarship is specifically designed to support students who currently live in, or have relocated from, regional, rural or remote areas of Queensland and can demonstrate financial hardship.
