Joe Dunn Memorial Scholarship

The Joe Dunn Memorial Scholarship supports full-time students at Eastern Illinois University who are actively involved in community service and exemplify going beyond minimal efforts in their volunteerism. The scholarship particularly values students who have overcome personal obstacles or experienced breaks in their college education due to financial or personal reasons and have returned to complete their degree. Preference is given to applicants involved in student government at EIU. Recipients must maintain a GPA above the minimum requirements for attendance at the university, and financial need is a consideration. Community service efforts must be registered with the EIU Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteerism. The award is announced in the Spring semester and paid in the Fall semester.
