Johan och Jakob Söderbergs stiftelse provides research funding for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in the fields of economics and law. The foundation accepts applications for personal stipends to support doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers. For 2026, the foundation only accepts applications in economics and law; applications in medicine, natural sciences, and culture are not being accepted this year. The foundation offers comprehensive support including stipend, insurance, and literature/research costs. For doctoral students, funding covers a full-time researcher with 330,000 SEK annual stipend plus insurance (80,000 SEK) and literature/research costs (15,000 SEK), totaling 425,000 SEK per year. For postdoctoral researchers, the main funding principle is 75% of full-time, with 390,000 SEK stipend, 82,500 SEK insurance, and 22,500 SEK for literature, totaling 495,000 SEK. Full-time postdoctoral funding is also available at 660,000 SEK total. Additional overhead and facility cost contributions of 50,000 SEK each per full-time researcher per year may be granted to institutions after special review.
