John and Annie Mason Scholarship

The John and Annie Mason Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship offered by the Tarrant County College Foundation to support students enrolled at Tarrant County College. This scholarship is specifically designed for single heads of household with dependent children who are pursuing either an associate degree with the intention to transfer to a four-year institution or completing a certificate of completion program. The scholarship requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 for current TCC students or a high school equivalent/passing GED score for first-time students, along with enrollment in at least 6 credit hours during the award period. This renewable scholarship can be awarded for up to four consecutive fall/spring semesters, provided recipients maintain a minimum semester GPA of 2.0 and complete at least 6 credit hours each semester. The award amount varies and is determined on a case-by-case basis. Financial need is not a requirement for this merit-based scholarship, making it accessible to eligible single parents pursuing higher education at TCC. Recipients are automatically considered through the completion of the General Application on the Tarrant County College Foundation scholarship portal.
