John and Bina Jo Walters Music Scholarship

The John and Bina Jo Walters Music Scholarship supports seniors majoring in Music who are planning to teach. The scholarship is awarded to full-time students at Eastern Illinois University who demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum 3.2 GPA and financial need. Recipients must be senior-level students pursuing a Music major with the intention of entering the teaching profession. The award is renewable for eligible students who continue to meet the stated criteria, providing ongoing support for their educational journey. This scholarship is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed over the following Fall and Spring semesters, helping to alleviate financial burdens for dedicated music education students.
